Thoughts (transcribed in English)

Being monolinguistic,

I can only possibly think the thoughts that I think,

And can only possibly dream the dreams that I dream,

In the one and only language that I know.

Which begs the question,

Do most bilinguists out there think and dream in both of their languages,

Or mainly their first language,

Or mostly their currently most used language?

Which begs the further question,

How did our prehistoric ancestors think,

How’d they think before there was even language to think with to begin with?

Every infant-aged baby knows the answer to this question,

But they don’t yet know language,

So we can’t ask them.
